A multi-meter is an electronic measuring instrument that combines a number of different functions into one small instrument which can measure with a high degree of accuracy.

A multimeter can be used for a number of different AC and DC applications, for example measuring voltage, continuity, inductance and resistance.

The numerous functions make the multimeter the one piece of equipment that every electrician should have in their toolbox. Its flexibility allows the user to combine instruments, resulting in a flexible and powerful set of tools.
